MODERN ACHIEVEMENTS IN POPULATION, EVOLUTIONARY AND ECOLOGICAL GENETICS, MAPEEG-2025

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to take part in a well-known symposium!

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the renowned MAPEEG-2025 Symposium!

The MAPEEG-2025 Symposium marks the twelfth installment of this esteemed event, traditionally held in Vladivostok and at the Vostok Marine Biological Station (A.V. Zhirmunsky National Scientific Center of Marine Biology, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, NSCMB) since 1995. On average, the symposium attracts approximately 100 scientists from various regions of the Russian Federation and several foreign countries.

The symposium will focus on modern advancements in key areas of biology, including genetics, ecology, and biodiversity studies. Participants from institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, universities, and other institutions across the Russian Federation will have the opportunity to enhance their professional skills and establish collaborative connections with colleagues from countries such as China, India, Korea, Poland, the USA, and others. The official language of the symposium is English.

The event will take place in both traditional (in-person) and online formats from September 2–5, 2025, in Vladivostok at the NSCMB building (17 Palchevsky St.), with a visit to the Vostok Marine Biological Station. We warmly invite you to join us and experience the pleasure of participating in this long-standing and well-established event. Further details about MAPEEG-2025 will soon be available on the symposium website: http://wwwimb.dvo.ru/misc/mapeeg/index.php/en/ (currently under development).

Main Topics of the Symposium:

  • Evolutionary genetics and genomics
  • Molecular systematics, DNA barcoding, and phylogenetics
  • Microevolution and population-genetic structure of species
  • Ecological genetics

The symposium program and a collection of abstracts will be published as a separate volume and made available on the symposium website and the ResearchGate portal, complete with publishing attributes such as ISBN and DOI.
